Aeroparque (AEP) to Buenos Aires

Aeroparque (AEP) to Buenos Aires

Quick answer: Take a taxi or Uber. 15-20 minutes, around $10 USD. Aeroparque is close enough to the city centre that transfers are straightforward.
Mode Time Cost Best for
Taxi 15-20 min ~$10 USD Quick and convenient. Lower scam risk than EZE due to short journey.
Uber / Cabify 15-20 min ~$8-10 USD App-based pricing. Works well from AEP. Check pickup point in the app.
Remis (Tienda Leon) 15-20 min ~$12-15 USD Pre-booked peace of mind. Set price, driver meets you at arrivals.
Public bus (Lines 33/45) 30-45 min ~$0.75 USD Budget option to Microcentro. SUBE card required. Stop is outside arrivals.

Taxi

The simplest option at AEP. Around $10 USD to Microcentro, 15-20 minutes depending on traffic. The taxi rank is outside the arrivals hall.

Aeroparque transfers are lower risk than Ezeiza: the journey is shorter, the fare is smaller, and there is less incentive for scams. That said, Buenos Aires taxi warnings still apply - use the official rank and keep an eye on the meter.

Uber and Cabify

Both work well from AEP. Around $8-10 USD to central Buenos Aires. Order from the app once you have collected your bags. The pickup point is within a couple of hundred metres of arrivals, but check the directions in the app as the exact spot can shift.

Remis (Tienda Leon)

I used Tienda Leon’s remis service from AEP and found it straightforward, if slightly bureaucratic. At the desk: give your name, passport, and credit card. A driver collects you within about 10 minutes. Around $12-15 USD to Recoleta.

The driver did not help with bags - that is normal for a remis, which is a private car service rather than a luxury transfer. The car was a regular sedan, no signage, no meter. Pre-paid and predictable, which was the point.

If you want the convenience of a pre-booked transfer without the uncertainty of a taxi, this works well. Slightly more expensive than Uber but the driver is waiting for you.

Public bus

Lines 33 and 45 run from the stop directly outside the AEP arrivals terminal to Microcentro (about 45 minutes). Lines 37 and 160 run to the Palermo area and Plaza Italia, where you can transfer to the Subte.

Around $0.75 USD per journey. A SUBE card is required - cash is not accepted on buses. You can buy a SUBE card at the kiosks inside the airport terminal.

The buses are a viable option from AEP if you are travelling light and have a SUBE card. The stop is right outside, the journey is short, and the cost is negligible. But be aware of pickpockets - do not have phones or cameras on display.

Where to stay at the city end

AEP is only 15 minutes from central Buenos Aires. No airport hotel needed. Head straight to your neighbourhood. See my Buenos Aires neighbourhood guide for recommendations.
